Passing Traditions from Masters to Youth
From the mysterious prayer bowls of Tibet to the fiery tabla drums of India, from the haunting shakahachi flute of Japan to the bellowing didjeridu of Australia's Aboriginals, the diverse musical sounds of the world come alive to young ears when introduced first hand by the masters from these traditions.
Door Dog’s youth programs enable today's young people to experience first hand the many traditional cultures of the world. We connect traditional masters with children who otherwise have limited access to studying traditional cultural arts – such as Chinese music, Indian music, Persian music, and more.
By passing down cultural traditions with recent immigrant communities, Door Dog uses music in innovative ways to bring young people together across cultural differences.
